About the artist...

My name is Jamie Hargreaves, a sculptor based in the north of England. I started welding at eleven years old when I asked for a welding kit for my birthday. By twelve I had made my first sculpture and from then on I have been making and selling my sculptures.
The style of my sculptures involves repurposing (upcycling) old bits of metal such as bolts, keys and cutlery to create sculptures which capture real life. With my sculptures the longer you look at them the more detail and depth they have to offer.

Most of my sculptures are of natural life however I also make other types of sculpture such as the Vulcan plane as seen in the gallery.
I have won a number of competitions including the Derbyshire Art Open (commended 2014 & 16, won 2017), Stockport Open (2nd 2018), Michael Heartley Rose Competition (Won ages 17-21 in 2019).
